Bjärred centrum

JUUL | FROST Architects has designed the new masterplan and public realm for Bjärred Square, creating a vibrant and cohesive town centre for the coastal community near Malmö.
The project, developed in collaboration with Lomma Municipality and Granitor (formerly Midroc), includes new housing, retail spaces, and public areas that balance urban life with local identity. The design focuses on accessibility, material quality and clear spatial transitions, creating a welcoming square that supports both everyday activity and social gathering.
Through refined detailing — from seating elements to level changes and lighting — the new square embodies simplicity, durability, and a distinctly Scandinavian character.
