The Future Campus – a world of meeting places

To support the content goals of the globalization strategy "Progress, Renewal, and Security," the University and Building Agency initiated the development project "Project Campus," which focuses on the physical infrastructure of universities.

The project aims to illustrate and document what constitutes good study and research environments, allowing for the adjustment or expansion of the physical surroundings and facilities to support the desired development of Danish universities to become among the world's best higher education institutions.

"The Campuses of the Future" encompass an analysis of selected international campus areas and a mapping of the current state of Danish campus areas. The study has been conducted by Juul Frost Architects and provides insights into how Danish campus areas can be developed in the future, ensuring resilience in response to future needs, including building structure, flexible disciplinary boundaries, new forms of social interaction, and new learning methods, among others.
