Smedeland 07
Smedeland 07 will form the setting for a vibrant and diverse urban neighborhood where people come together across generations – as residents, employees, or visitors. With approximately 159 homes of varying sizes, shared community spaces, and opportunities for commercial use, it will create a place where community and sustainability merge through a strong architectural concept.
The ground floor opens up towards the corner of Smedeland and Naverland and extends into the green corridor beyond, providing space for outward-facing businesses and an active street-level environment.
In the northern corner, shared facilities for residents create opportunities for social interaction and activities across the community. The development encloses a landscaped courtyard—a safe and lush retreat for relaxation, play, and everyday encounters.
Along the façades, transitional edge zones create a gentle buffer between private homes and the public urban realm. The green corridor runs as a vital artery through the area, stretching from Sydvangen in the south towards future development areas in the north, connecting the neighborhood to the wider city. This recreational link invites movement, tranquility, and access to green open spaces.

Green Connections
The lush courtyard and the green corridor bring nature deep into the development. Together, they form a network of recreational spaces and gathering places that encourage relaxation, play, movement, and informal encounters between residents and visitors alike.
Architectural Cohesion
The scale, material palette, and architectural expression of the buildings are carefully aligned with the surrounding urban context. This cohesive architectural approach ensures a calm and harmonious transition between new and existing structures, allowing the development to become a natural extension of the neighborhood’s evolving story.
