Munkebjergvænget comprises 145 rental apartments, ranging from 60 to 166 m2 an varying from 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom apartments to penthouses. The variety in apartment sizes is a basis for demographic diversity: the building can accommodate both singles, couples, families, and elderly people.
In the design of the housing development and the individual homes, spaciousness, indoor climate and light are optimized, and all the apartments have one or more balconies/roof terraces or terraces with access to the district park.
The 7,800 m2 district park is the social link for the neighbourhood. Juul Frost Arkitekter's integrated landscape department has designed the recreational common areas that act as climate adaptation. The park handles the increased amounts of rain so that they create value for the residents in a lush landscape with a high biodiversity and various opportunities for relaxation and activity.
In addition to Munkebjerg Vænget, Juul Frost Arkitekter has been responsible for the local plan, student and senior housing, town square with daycare center, Munkebjerg Business Park and convenience store in Munkebjerg Park.
