Senior and student housing
Juul Frost Arkitekter has designed 63 senior dwellings and 184 student housing untis divided in six buildings around Munkebjerg Park's new town square. The ambition is a new district where generations live side by side.
The senior housing comprises 2- and 3-bedroom apartments, with optimized daylight conditions and extra high ceilings. All the apartments have a terrace or balcony, while several of the homes have two. On the roof of the two buildings, there are a communal greenhouse and communal rooms.
The student dwellings are divided into four buildings, including a ten-storey high tower. The ground floor with daycare and fitness center will contribute to life on the square. The space is optimally utilized with full-height cupboards, and the extra ceiling height gives the student dwelling great spaciousness.
Juul Frost Architects are responsible for the integrated landscape and urban space design, which includes a new town square as well as public playgrounds and playground for the daycare.
The 247 new apartments add to the area's 333 existing dwellings, the neighborhood park, Munkebjerg Business Park and the convenience store LIDL, all designed by Juul Frost Architects for Barfoed Group.
