37 rooftop apartments on existing buildings

37 new rooftop apartments as a natural extension of the first phase of apartments in Munkebjerg Park from 2009.

The new rooftop apartments on the existing buildings in Munkebjerg Park represent an exciting development in the area. The 37 rooftop apartments are constructed as a natural extension of the first phase of apartments in Munkebjerg Park from 2009 and seamlessly blend with the existing buildings. In addition to the new neighbors on the roof, the building's residents also gain access to new rooftop terraces with greenhouses. The 37 new apartments replicate the housing types in the existing buildings below.

While the rooftop apartments feature a dark panel cladding, the existing building undergoes a radical facade enhancement. The facade is covered with a golden panel of anodized aluminum. The golden panel is a reference to Munkebjerg Park's grocery store, LIDL, which is clad in the same facade material. The use of panel cladding preserves the original architectural character while reflecting the changes that have occurred in the character and quality of Munkebjerg Park through the recent years of neighborhood development.
