HELLE JUUL ON THE JURY FOR EUROPAN IN STOCKHOLM
Architect and founding partner of Juul Frost Arkitekter, Helle Juul, was part of the jury when Europan 18 took place in Stockholm. Europan is Europe’s largest competition for young architects, urban and landscape planners, and every second year thousands of proposals for the cities of tomorrow are submitted.
This year’s theme, “Re-Sourcing”, focused on how we rethink resources – from natural elements and social communities to materials and circular economy. The jury consisted of international experts who selected projects that, in innovative and visionary ways, can inspire Europe’s urban development.
As a jury member, Helle Juul brought her experience from both research and practice into the work. Her focus on transformation, urban life, and holistic urban development was a key contribution to the discussion on how European cities can become more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable.
