NEW CONSTRUCTING ARCHITECT: WELCOME, OANA!

We are delighted to welcome Oana Gorceag to Juul Frost Arkitekter. Oana is a qualified construction architect with experience working at architecture studios in Copenhagen. Her first days at Juul Frost Arkitekter coincided with the studio’s study trip to Tallinn.

Three quick questions for Oana:

What attracted you to a position at Juul Frost Arkitekter?

I thrive on meaningful work and being part of something that makes a positive difference. I believe that good architecture should improve people’s lives while also taking nature into account. That is why I was particularly drawn to Juul Frost Arkitekter’s focus on human well-being and integrating nature into architecture. It feels like a place where I can work with exactly the kind of architecture I believe in and want to help create.

What are you taking home from our recent study trip to Tallinn?

I found it very interesting to see how Tallinn approaches the preservation and transformation of the city’s older buildings. I was particularly inspired by projects such as Kultuurikatel and Telliskivi, where former industrial buildings that no longer served their original purpose have been given a new lease of life and a new function. It is exciting to see how reusing existing buildings can create new settings for culture, community, and urban life while preserving part of the city’s history and identity.

What are you passionate about outside your work as a building construction designer at Juul Frost Arkitekter?

I have many interests outside work, but they mainly revolve around sports and art. I love spending time with my friends and believe it is important to experience new things together. This can be anything from trying a new sport or visiting an exciting art exhibition to going to a great metal concert. I enjoy staying curious, exploring new interests, and finding experiences that bring us together.

Welcome to the team, Oana!
