TOPPING-OUT CEREMONY IN MUNKEBJERG

The flag and the two wreaths waves from the top, and the hot dog stand is in place. A topping-out ceremony is an iconic and ancient Nordic tradition that celebrates craftsmanship and the shared spirit of construction – this time at Munkebjerg A2 near Odense.

Project architect Jakob Rosendahl Haar and founding partner Flemming Frost both made the trip.

“You never tire of seeing the flag flying from the top of a building you’ve designed. It’s special every time. We began the first drawings and models for Munkebjerg A2 at the end of 2022. It feels great to stand here today and see it taking shape,” Jakob says about the project.

Like its neighbour and sister building, Munkebjerg A2 will also feature a rooftop orangery, extending the season at the top – along with the stunning view.
